Why Dotty Dungarees

A friendship first, and a stockist second. Tracey and the Dotty Dungarees team have been friends for years — the sort of friendship that starts across a trade fair aisle in New York, carries on in Paris, and becomes a proper conversation somewhere along the way. So when the bonnie mob family store came together, Dotty were the first name written down. Another small British brand, another woman at the helm, and the same belief that children's clothes ought to be beautifully made and built to be handed on.

The colour is the whole point. Chunky cord in Robin Red, Mint, Old Rose, Violet and Khaki, with denim and cotton twill alongside. These are the colours that make a wet Tuesday morning better, and they sit beautifully next to the bonniemob knits.

Made to last a full year, by design. Adjustable straps and generous turn-ups mean a pair bought at the start of a year is still fitting at the end of it. There is a 100% cotton jersey lining, bespoke buttons, and zip access for quick nappy changes up to 18-24 months.

The cord itself. Largely cotton, with a small amount of elastane for stretch — comfortable enough for a long day and tough enough for whatever a child throws at it.

Sizes 6-12 months to 9-10 years. One of the widest size ranges in the family store, and the reason Dotty pieces tend to be passed down to a sibling or a friend rather than outgrown and forgotten.
