Fully fashioned knitwear for babies, toddlers and little explorers — cardigans, jumpers and knitted sweaters in GOTS certified organic cotton and cashmere blends. Expertly knitted to shape rather than cut from cloth, a technique that minimises wastage. Buy once, buy well, pass it on.
Knitwear from newborn to nine years
Cardigans, jumpers and knitted sweaters across every stage: newborn and infant sizes for the first year, toddler sizes as they start moving, and kids' sizes up to nine years. Fairisle, pointelle, embroidered and plain knits, in beautiful colours made to make you smile!
Fully fashioned knitwear
Most knitwear is made by knitting a large sheet of fabric and cutting the shapes from it. Fully fashioned knitting shapes each panel on the machine instead — stitches added and dropped to form the armhole, the shoulder line, the neck. Because nothing is cut, there are no offcuts and little to no waste, and no raw edges inside the seams to work loose or fray.
The difference shows. You get the fine detail that makes knitwear look luxurious: fully fashioned marks running up the raglan, ribbing that meets the body cleanly, a shoulder set exactly where it should sit. And it holds that line through years of washing, which is why these are the pieces that are passed down to a second and third child.
Machine washable, including the cashmere. Every Bonniemob knitted infant or child's sweater or cardigan goes into the machine on a wool or delicate cycle at 30. Beautiful Knitwear you can wash easily is knitwear that gets worn time after time.
The yarns. GOTS certified organic cotton, or organic cotton blended with cashmere for the softest pieces. Cashmere is exceptionally fine, so it sits softly against new skin, and it's warm for its weight — warmth without bulk to help little ones move easily.
Room to grow. Most bonniemob knits are made with turn-back cuffs, so sleeves can be let down as they grow. One size fits for far longer — the simplest sustainability there is, and part of the reason our knits get passed down so often.
Organic cotton clothes for babies, toddlers and children, from newborn through to nine years — knitted to last long enough to reach the next Mini Mobster and the one after that too!
FAQ's
Can baby knitwear go in the washing machine?
Yes — every bonniemob knit is machine washable, cashmere blends included. Use a wool or delicate cycle at 30 with a gentle detergent.
Can I tumble dry a knitted cardigan or jumper?
We don't recommend it. Heat and tumbling shrink and felt natural fibres, soften the elastic recovery in cuffs and ribbing, and lift surface fibres so colour dulls and pilling starts. Dried flat and eased back into shape while damp, a knit keeps its shape and its colour for years.
What does fully fashioned knitwear mean?
Fully fashioned is the finest way to make a knitted garment. Rather than cutting shapes from a length of knitted fabric, each panel is shaped on the machine itself — stitches added and dropped to form the armhole, the shoulder, the neckline. Because nothing is cut, nothing is thrown away: a fully fashioned garment uses considerably less yarn than a cut-and-sew one, with none of the offcuts that ordinarily end up as waste. There are no raw edges hidden within the seams either, so the knit holds its line through years of wear. It gives fine knitwear its signature details — the fully fashioned marks running up the raglan, ribbing that meets the body cleanly, a shoulder set exactly where it should sit. Slower to make and more generous with time — and the reason a bonniemob cardigan is still beautiful on a second, third or fourth child.
Is cashmere practical for a baby?
Very. The bonniemob cashmere is blended with organic cotton, the cotton gives it a practicality and strength, so it's machine washable on a wool cycle. Cashmere fibre is exceptionally fine, making it luxuriously soft against new skin and warm for its weight.
What sizes does the baby and kids knitwear come in?
Newborn and infant sizes through toddler and kids', from birth to nine years. Sizing is by age, with a size chart for measurements.
What is the difference between a jumper and a sweater?
Geography — jumper in Britain, sweater in America, for the same garment. A cardigan is genuinely different: it opens down the front, so it goes on without anything passing over the face, which is why cardigans suit young babies so well.

from 1104 reviewsJust discovered this shop and love the attention to detail and care that goes into the clothes. I ordered some baby cashmere in the sale and am really impressed with quality and value.
Adorable soft jumper. Very pleased with the quality and the design is so sweet. I would size up if in doubt, my son is 5 months and the 6-9 month fits well.
Beautifully made dress, so pretty but also comfy and practical and perfect for in-between weather! My daughter loves it.
Beautiful feel to this bodysuit and the design is exactly what you'd expect from the brilliant Bonnie Mob!

The sweetest little dress. My granddaughter loves it and it’s beautifully cut and well made.
I’m really impressed with the baby clothes I bought from Bonnie Mob! The organic cotton feels incredibly soft and gentle on my baby’s skin — you can truly feel the quality the moment you touch it. The fabric is well-made and durable, even after a few washes, and the designs are absolutely adorable. You can tell the difference compared to many other brands — Bonnie Mob clothes just feel more premium, comfortable, and thoughtfully made. Definitely one of my new favourites for babywear! 👶💛
