#iamteamGB - The Nation's Sports Day

by The Bonniemob on August 26, 2016

The bonnie mob would like to say an enormous congratulations to our outstanding Olympians who performed so well in Rio during the last month. You've made Britain extremely proud and encouraged a nation to get out there, get active and try something new.

Saturday 27th August is the nation's Sports Day, where all over the country there are thousands of FREE sporting events being hosted for anyone to join in and give sport a go, AND the Olympians themselves will be there too!

The event is brought to you by the National Lottery and ITV - who amazingly, will be shutting down ALL 7 of their TV channels on Saturday morning in an attempt to stop people watching television and encourage them to go out and take part in a sporting event! We are super impressed by this gesture from the TV giants as it's the first time they will have stopped broadcasting in over 30 years!

There are literally events suitable for every age, ability & experience - from Table Tennis to Bowls, Scuba Diving to Synchronised Swimming, Climbing to Dodgeball and so many more! There's no better way to kick of the Bank Holiday weekend.
