Infant Shoes

First shoes and toddler shoes, EU 18 to 26. Soft, flexible soles, foot-shaped toe boxes and straps and zips a small child can manage without help.

Every pair here is podiatrist approved and fits true to size, so order the size you would normally buy. The hidden midsole inside lifts out to make room as feet grow, which is how one pair carries a toddler further up the size run.

Start with Jett for first steps at EU 18 to 23. Astro is the t-bar and Rockit the zip-up ankle boot, both EU 22 to 26, roughly ages 2 to 5.

Buying first shoes

Wait for walking. A barefoot-style shoe like Jett is for a child already up and moving. Before that, feet do best with nothing on them indoors.

Check the shape, not just the length. A good first shoe is foot-shaped rather than tapered, with room for toes to spread, and flexible enough to bend easily in the hand.

They fit true to size. Order the size you would normally buy. Sizes shown are European: Jett runs EU 18 to 23, and the Astro and Rockit Infant styles EU 22 to 26.

The midsole makes room. Lift the hidden midsole out and the shoe becomes wider and longer, so a pair bought in the autumn still fits in the spring.

Baby shoes, first shoes and toddler shoes at the bonnie mob, from Zig and Star.

FAQ's

When should a baby wear shoes?

Once they are walking. Indoors, bare feet or soft socks are better for a new walker; shoes are for outside.

What is a barefoot shoe?

One with a very soft, flexible sole and a wide, foot-shaped toe box, so the foot moves close to how it would with nothing on. Jett is the barefoot-style shoe here.

What size should I order?

The size you would normally buy, as these fit true to size. Sizes are European. Jett is EU 18 to 23; Astro and Rockit Infant are EU 22 to 26.

What ages do infant sizes cover?

Roughly 2 to 5 years for EU 22 to 26, and from first steps for Jett at EU 18 to 23. Measure the foot rather than going by age where you can.

Is there room to grow?

Yes. Each pair has a hidden midsole that lifts out to make the shoe wider and longer.

Adorable soft jumper. Very pleased with the quality and the design is so sweet. I would size up if in doubt, my son is 5 months and the 6-9 month fits well.

Mushroom Fleece Baby & Kids Organic Dress

I’m really impressed with the baby clothes I bought from Bonnie Mob! The organic cotton feels incredibly soft and gentle on my baby’s skin — you can truly feel the quality the moment you touch it. The fabric is well-made and durable, even after a few washes, and the designs are absolutely adorable. You can tell the difference compared to many other brands — Bonnie Mob clothes just feel more premium, comfortable, and thoughtfully made. Definitely one of my new favourites for babywear! 👶💛
