At what age can a baby wear sunglasses?
From babyhood upwards — Babiators make frames sized for babies through to older children. A soft flexible frame and a strap make all the difference to whether they stay on.
Do they protect against UV?
Yes. The lenses block 100% of UV rays, which is the part that matters for protecting young eyes.
What does polarised mean, and do I need it?
Polarisation cuts glare reflecting off water, sand and wet roads. It is not the same as UV protection, which is on every pair. Polarised lenses are worth it near water, mostly because a child who is not squinting keeps their sunglasses on.
Are they durable?
That is rather the point of them. Flexible rubber frames that bend and twist instead of snapping, with impact and shatter resistant lenses.
What are the Eco ones made from?
Recycled ocean-bound plastic, with a recycled polyester pouch that doubles as a cleaning cloth. Same lenses, same construction.
