Our knitwear is fully fashioned, which means each panel is shaped on the knitting machine rather than cut from a sheet of knitted fabric. Nothing is cut, so nothing is thrown away, and it uses considerably less yarn than cut-and-sew. Most of our knits are made with turn-back cuffs so a size lasts far longer, and our outerwear is made from GRS certified recycled polyester throughout — shell, lining and padding — with a water-repellent finish that is free from PFCs and fluorocarbons.
GOTS for our organic cotton, OEKO-TEX Standard 100 for textile safety, and SEDEX membership for responsible sourcing. Where organic yarn is not available we use cotton approved by the Better Cotton Initiative. The same factories have made our clothes since 2004.
That has been our line since 2005, and it is the measure we hold everything to.
